The entire ‘Feeds Organic Farm’ was fenced on the iron channel and its inauguration took place in the august presence of Very Rev.Br.M.Velankanni SHJ the Superior General of the Congregation, superiors in the neighbourhood communities of our Institute. The fencing was done in accordance with the guidelines and directions given by the fencing engineer Mr. Ulagamani, a competent person in this field. The village headmen, local farmers and the workers on-site witnessed this fencing event, during the inaugural session. The visit of the officials in the departments of agriculture and horticulture added flavour to the event. The inclusion of solar energy in fencing is yet another special feature which was not envisaged in the proposals of the project. Solar energy was included for the specific purpose of preventing the entry of wild animals and humans intruding; the other descriptions indicated in the original format of the project were carried our fastidiously, such as 3 feet height chain line, 6 lines plain wire 10mm, executing area for repair work and labour charges were added to this purpose.
